She dedicated her life in Arizona to working with trauma and abuse victims and often did her work pro bono. Her smile and laughter lit up every room she entered.

She is survived by her parents, Ron and Mary Whinnem of Holliston, Massachusetts; brother Russ Whinnem of Westboro, Massachusetts; sisters Jennifer (Ben) Gerber of Ashland, Massachusetts and Donna Stok of Bellingham, Massachusetts; nieces Isabella and Luca Gerber of Ashland and Mallory Stok of Bellingham; and nephew Tyler Stok of Bellingham.
