Anne Germaine Smith, 93, died June 24, 2009 at her home in Sedona.

She was born October 2, 1915, and raised near Chicago, Illinois. Following school she married Melvin G. Smith. She was a homemaker. She was always active and held many offices in many women's organizations. She was known for doing book reviews within those organizations. She also worked as a narrator for the American Cancer Society. She enjoyed metaphysics, cooking, and the Food Network.

She is survived by sons, Robert M. Smith of Sedona and Dean A. Smith of Crystal Lakes, Illinois; brothers Jim Wensch of Ironwood, Michigan and Robert Wensch of Rochester, Minnesota; sister, Jean Steyer of Buffalo, Minnesota; grandchildren Michael A. Smith of Pall Lake, Wisconsin and Mari Frankos of Oak Park, Illinois.
