Sedona

Sedona, AZ – Barry D. Perreault, 62, formerly of Orleans, MA, West Fairlee, VT, Wilder, VT, Eliot, ME, and Bradenton, FL, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 30, 2024.

He is survived by his mother Frances, his brother Brian, his sister-in-law Julie and his niece, Brianna. He is also survived by his Aunt Kathleen Simmons, her husband Henry and their sons Keith and Eric as well as many other relatives.

Born in 1961 to the late Gerard L. Perreault and Frances E. Perreault (Gomes), he worked at the East Orleans Post Office before spending many years as a Dietary Aide at Hanover Terrace in Hanover, NH. After a few years in Florida, he moved to the place where he was happiest, Sedona AZ, where he lived with his brother, sister-in-law, his niece, and mother. He always felt blessed to be in such a beautiful place.

He and his mother would often be seen around the greater Sedona area perusing Thrift stores looking for a bargain or an ideal signature piece to complete his artfully decorated living area. He would walk with his mother almost every morning as they each logged 1,000 miles in the last year.

He always had a positive attitude even when facing the diagnosis of terminal cancer. His infectious happiness always uplifted those he encountered. He always made people feel he was happy to see them and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

But his greatest joy was being Uncle Bear to his niece Brianna. She also called him Nea Nea Nea and he called her Honey Bunches. They would spend countless hours chatting on the lanai talking about family, life and cows.

He was a wonderful son, brother, uncle and friend. He left us all too early but will not be easily forgotten.

Per his wishes, there will be no services.

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to: Y.E.S. The Arc, P.O. Box 1061 Cottonwood, AZ 86326
