Bella Aurora Young

Bella Aurora Young died Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at Kachina Point Health Care Center. A 25-year resident of Sedona, she was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on October 28, 1910. The first daughter, second child of Wilfred and Lucy Plante. Preceded in death by her husband Earl Young and daughter Jacqueline, four brothers and two sisters.
She was an accomplished seamstress and award winning Avon Lady. In 1951 she married Earl Young. They lived in Tucson and traveled coast to coast visiting family, friends, and children. In the early '80s they settled in Sedona and were communicants of St. John Vianney Catholic Church.
Bella leaves two daughters, Bella Downey (Leo) of Sedona and Carol Gioia (Frank) of Colorado; three sons, Mike Walsh (Carol), Joe Walsh (Carmen)and Tom Walsh. Her sisters, Doris Anderson of Minnesota, Theresa Albertini of California, Rita Denomme of Rhode Island and brothers, Delphius Plante (Julie) of Massachusetts and Maurice Plante (Arlene) of Florida; 19 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, August 17 at 11:00AM at St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Viewing at Greer's Funeral Home 9:00AM - 10:00AM, Monday, August 17th. (Interment at Sedona Community Cemetery)
