Bernard Michael Vondra

Bernard "Bernie" Vondra, 49, son of Don and Norma Vondra, passed away in his sleep December 22, 2011, after a long battle with cancer. Bernie was born in Cuba City, Wisconsin, and moved to Sedona as a teenager. He graduated from Mingus Union High School and Fennimore Tech. and worked at Sedona Tire and Auto for 22 years. Bernie loved everything related to the outdoors - hiking, camping, fishing and hunting. He is survived by his partner of 21 years, Kathy Bickelhaupt, his parents, Don and Norma Vondra, brothers and sisters Lester Vondra and fiance Julie, Barb (Bill) Ballard, Donna Vondra, Daryl Vondra, Diane (Sal) Toro, Kathy (Donnie) Smith, Lon (Nancy) Vondra, Pat (Bev) Vondra and Jeanne (Dale) Byers and numerous nephews and nieces. Services will be at Greer's Mortuary at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28, with internment to follow at Sedona Community Cemetery.
There will be a memorial mass officiated by Fr. Wm. Seipp at St. Clement Catholic Church in Lancaster, Wisconsin, on Saturday, December 31, at 10:30 a.m.
