Carol May Walls (nee Carol May Gilbert), aged 87, passed away peacefully in the
embrace of her loving family on August 28th, in the serene environs of Sedona,
Arizona. She graced this world with her presence on July 24, 1936, in St. Louis,
Missouri. Alongside her came her younger sister Gay and brother Jan. Her father, an
accountant, and her mother, a homemaker, seamstress, and gardener, nurtured her
upbringing.
Carol's professional journey spanned over four decades, during which she dedicated
herself as a paralegal. Her diligent efforts left an indelible mark across law firms in
Arizona, Chicago, and California. Focusing her expertise on Estate Law and Planning,
Carol went beyond her role to extend genuine concern, care, and kindness to her
clients. Her support knew no bounds, transcending the office space to provide
personal assistance. Clients soon became cherished friends, warmly embraced into
her extended family.
A culinary virtuoso, Carol excelled as an innovative cook. Her delectable creations took
center stage at family gatherings, radiating the same warmth and love she exuded
personally. Carol had the remarkable ability to make everyone feel at ease, infusing
gatherings with an unmistakable sense of belonging.
An ardent animal lover, Carol's heart overflowed with compassion, but her deepest
affections were reserved for her beloved poodles. Each of these four-legged
companions was lavished with immeasurable attention and unwavering affection, a
testament to her boundless capacity for love.
In the hearts of her dear friends and cherished family members, Carol's memory will
forever linger. She leaves behind her daughters Deborah Connors and Sandy Walls
(Bruce), her son David Walls (Alice), her grandchildren Jayme Walls (Reno), Tanya Walls
(Trever), David Walls (Kimmy), Alexander Walls, Ben Walls, Lucas Walls, Amy Holobar
(Reuben), Noah Johnson and Paul Johnson. Her legacy extends to great-grandchildren
Devin, Andre, Nolan, Alex, Isabella and Sophia. She also leaves behind the father of
her children, Dale Walls and her precious poodle Mimi. Carol’s husband David and son
Mark predeceased her.
In the tapestry of life, Carol May Walls wove threads of love, compassion, and
devotion. Her absence leaves a void, yet her memory will continue to touch lives,
serving as a reminder of a life well-lived and a spirit deeply cherished.
