Charles E. Reaume

Charles E. Reaume, 82 of Sedona died January 4, 2018. Chuck was preceded in death by brothers Thomas Reaume (MaryLou) and Richard Reaume II; sisters Mary Ellen Tisko (Tom) and Joan Roberts (Clare); Father Richard Reaume SR and Mother Marie Costello; and is survived by sister Dorothy Reaume.
Chuck is also survived by wife Nancy Reaume, children: Richard Reaume (Kathy), Julie Reaume, Lynn Garbacz (Christopher), Ann Wright (Christian), Charles Reaume JR (Jennifer), David Reaume (Karen); grandchildren: Macie, Christina, Ralph, Christopher Jr, Nathan, Holden, Madison, Dylan, Ethan, Caroline, Sylvie, Lexi, Joshua and Zachary; and great grandchildren: Kieren, Lily, Fiona and Vaughn.
Chuck was born in Detroit, Michigan and graduated from Catholic Central High School. He continued his college education and graduated from Dental school at Saint Louis University. Its at this time that he married his sweetheart Nancy., it was love at first sight. They started their life together in the Philippines, where Chuck was stationed while in the Navy. Upon returning from overseas, Chuck began his career as an Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon in Warren, Michigan. He was affiliated with South Macomb, Detroit Receiving, Childrens Hospital of Detroit and Detroit Memorial Hospitals. He developed the Oral Maxillofacial residency program at South Macomb hospital, where he guided the practice of 18 residents. He had numerous board appointments, including Director for Detroit Memorial Hospital Corporation, President of the Great Lakes Society Corporation and the Chief of Oral Surgery at South Macomb Hospital.
Chuck was always a huge sports fan, especially when it came to the sport of hockey. He was privileged to serve as one of the team doctors for the Detroit Red Wings for many years as well as the Detroit Junior Red Wings and the Detroit Red Wings Alumni. In honor of his years of service, he was asked to become a member of the Detroit Red Wing Alumni.
Upon retirement from his practice, Chuck and Nancy moved west to Sedona where he was able to pursue his love of golf. While living in Sedona, Chuck was called to the ministry and served as the Administrator for Saint John Vianney and the Chapel of the Holy Cross for many years.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018 at 11 am at Saint John Vianney, 180 Saint John Vianney Lane, Sedona, Arizona followed by a luncheon at the church.
