Constance Anne Rupiper, 79, of Sedona, AZ passed away on Monday, October 9, 2017.
Born April 23, 1938 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Patrick Canavan and Constance Canavan.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Lawrence Leroy Rupiper; a brother, Patrick Canavan of Lake Montezuma, AZ; three children, daughter Kimberly Lavigne of Irvine, CA, son Lawrence Rupiper and wife of Huntington Beach, CA, daughter Stephanie Aanestad and husband of Temecula, CA; four grandchildren, Matthew, Brittany, Garrett and John.
While living in California, she worked at The Broadway department store, where she found her passion for fashion and became a fashion coordinator conducting in store fashion shows. Later she went to work at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising as an Admissions Representative. It was there that her true passion for fashion came alive. She traveled to many countries and enjoyed every new adventure she encountered. Larry and Connie retired to Sedona, AZ in 1990. While living in Sedona, she worked part-time at Jones of New York in Sedona outlet " she was not ready to fully stop working or to give up her flare for the fashion scene. She quickly became involved in the Catholic Church and golf communities and met many lifelong friends. She loved to play golf, dance, walk her community with her beloved, Beau and knit. Connie had an amazing smile, desire to be with friends and love of all people.
Memorial services and reception will be conducted at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Sedona, AZ.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 12:30PM at St. John Vianney Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 5444, Washington, DC 55235.
