Darlene Kay Nogle

Darlene Kay Nogle, 66, of Flagstaff, Arizona, passed away on January 14, 2009 after a short, but courageous battle with cancer.

Mrs. Nogle was born September 29, 1941 in Bellafontaine, Ohio to Cecil and Florence (Deare) Stevens. She attended Rushylvania public schools in Ohio. On June 22, 1959, she married Fred Nogle.

She loved growing flowers, plants, vegetables, camping, reading, and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed feeding the hundreds of wild birds that returned everyday to her yard. She always had a big smile for everyone, friends as well as strangers. She was a cashier for Bashas' Grocery Stores for 34 years until her retirement in 2006.

She was preceded in death by her parents; as well as her brothers Donald, Richard, and Charles.

She will be greatly missed by her husband of over 49 years, Fred; sister MaryEllen of Bellafontaine, Ohio; daughters Ria (and her husband Jay) O'Neal of Palmdale, California, and Bev and Ellen Nogle of Flagstaff; grandchildren Joe, Erin, and Raven O'Neal of California and Dee Nogle and Bobby Pell of Flagstaff. Also, longtime friend Richard Elwood and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Celebration of Life to remember Darlene will be held at 11:00AM Saturday January 31, 2009 at the Summit Fire Station on N. Highway 89 in Flagstaff. Everyone is welcome.
