David Polcyn, age 57, of Sedona, Arizona passed away on November 15, 2014 while hiking in the Beaver Creek area of the Coconino National Forest. He was born in Chicago, IL on October 11, 1957. He graduated from Newtown High School in Newtown, CT in 1975 and from the University of Connecticut in 1980 with a degree in International Business. He was a self employed businessman who lived and taught English for 18 years in Fukuoka, Japan.
David had a great love for his family as well as hiking, nature and exploring Indian ruins.
He is survived by his parents Carole and Stanley Polcyn of Newtown, CT; his wife of 27 years Hitomi Polcyn and daughter Sachie Polcyn of Sedona, AZ; brothers Mark Polcyn (Patti) of Fullerton, CA and James Polcyn of Saratoga, CA; sisters Carla (Patrick) Polcyn McCarthy of Armonk, NY, Linda (Joe) Polcyn Peters of New Hope, PA, and Suzanne (Joe) Polcyn DeLuca of Valley Forge, PA; 14 nieces and nephews and14 cousins; Aunt Marie (Jim) Wells of Phoenix, AZ; Aunt Georgina (Ed) Oken of Chicago, IL; and Uncle Mike (Chris) Tomasic of Marco Island, FL.
