Donald Ray Giblin (Gibby), passed away July 11, 2016 in Cottonwood, AZ.
Born June 12, 1930 to Charlie Red Giblin and Lola Kim Butler Giblin in Glendale, AZ. He graduated from GUHS in 1948. He spent 12 years in National Guard as Master Sergeant. Being a self taught plumber and electrician, he worked in the water pump business and for Sun City for 18 years as superintendent of site development. He operated a pipe yard for Certainteed Corp in Phoenix. Moved to Oak Creek Canyon in 1986. Worked for Oak Creek School District retiring after 6 years. He worked for the Rainbow Trout Farm where he lived until his death.
He is preceded in death by his parents and 3 sisters, Eunice Ekiss, Inez Bennett and Wanda Evans; Husband, Art and son, Hayden Evans and 2 brothers, James and Van Giblin.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Billie Jean Scott Giblin; 2 daughters, Brenda (Steve) Smith of Albany, OR, Gail (Rick) Ratliff of Heber, AZ. Sister-in-law, Posie Giblin of Glendale, AZ. 3 Grandchildren, 10 Great-grandchildren and 2 Great-great Grandchildren.
