Ernest Edward Valenzuela

October 5, 1931 — April 22, 2017

On April 22, 2017 Ernest "Ernie" Valenzuela, born in San Diego, CA on 10/5/1931, went home to our Lord after a 3 year battle with cancer. He passed peacefully, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Diana Valenzuela and his three sons, Ernest Valenzuela Jr. of Clarkdale AZ, James Valenzuela of New Iberia Louisiana and Timothy Valenzuela of Oxnard California. He is also survived by six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, two brothers and two sisters.

He was a Korean War Veteran; 1948-1952 Army 24th Division, 21st Infantry, C Company
He and Diana raised their family in Oxnard, California until they retired to Sedona, AZ in 1984.
He was an active member in the community, a volunteer at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, a member of the VFW and Knights of Columbus. Memorial Mass at St. John Vianney Catholic Church on Thursday, April 27, 2017 @ 9:30 AM.
