Harry W. Brown, 95, passed away in his home of natural causes on July 25, 2013. Born in Norway, Michigan, he was a long-time resident in Milwaukee and later Big Bend, WI.
Graduate of Milwaukee School of Engineering, '41, Electrical Engineering Degree. Also, attended Harvard and MIT for radar training.
Lieutenant in US Navy for two years in WWII, served in Pacific aboard USS Markab.
33 Patents in control switches in the Research and Development Dept. with Eaton Corp.
Retired to Sedona, AZ with his wife, 34 years ago. Past Trail Boss of Sedona Westerners; active in Gem & Mineral Club; Archaeology Club; etc.
Survived by wife, Bernice, of 60 years. Predeceased by sons: James ('Jim')Brown; Prescott ('Scott')Brown; daughter, Pamela Brown and sisters Margaret Rieboldt and Virginia Hoppe.
Further survived by sister, E. Jean Luderus, Eagle, WI; grandchildren, Jeffrey A. Brown (Heidi) and Kristine Ulik (Chad),and daughter-in-law, Kathryn Brown. Plus four Ulik great-granddaughters; Monica, Julia, Rebekah, and Mia, all of Hartford, WI. Also survived by granddaughter Heather Opheim in Oregon, plus seven nieces and nephews.
