Herbert Lee Levinson

Herbert L. Levinson passed away on March 2, 2009, a resident of Sedona, Arizona.

He was born on January 13, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois to William and Bell Levinson. He participated in amphibious landings at Kwajalein, Saipan, Tinian, and Iwo Jima with the Fourth Marine Division. He was an exotic car, jazz, and Chicago sports team fan. On January 1, 1950 he married Dorothy Jane Greengard of Indianapolis, Indiana and together they owned and operated Dorothy's Women's Apparel for 38 years.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years Dorothy; brothers Jay and Arnie; sons Ron (Mary) and Jay Levinson; daughters Lisa Dahl and Gail Levinson; grandchildren Alex, Lauren, and Jessica.

He was preceded in death by grandson Justin Jones.
