Kay Yvonne Kerwin (nee Koerner)

Age 79, passed away December 15, 2017 at her home in Sedona, AZ with her beloved husband Bill by her bedside.

Born Feb 28,1938, Kay was the second daughter born to Glenn and Margaret (Pastore) Koerner in Coal City, Illinois. She was a graduating member of Coal City High Schools Class of 1956.

Preceding Kay in death were her parents, her sister Genevieve DeYoung, and her brothers-in-law Jimmy Nicoletti and Chuck DeYoung. She is survived by her husband, William Kerwin; sister, Lynne Nicoletti; nephew, Andrew Nicoletti; nieces Jennifer (Mike Togliatti) Nicoletti and Kara Bismarck, and cousin James Pastore, stepson Bill Kerwin and wife Raquel Magro,stepdaughter, Helen Kerwin-Saltzman , stepson Christopher Kerwin, and step grandchild Ashley Lines all who loved Kay dearly.

Following graduation Kay moved to Chicago. Residing at the Girls Eleanor Club she found steady employment in office work, much in the medical field, including many years with Dr. Karl Meyers. Marriage to Hal Lemke in Chicago moved them to Dallas through the 1970s and then on to Ventura, California, where she and Hal lived until his death in 1988.

Upon Hals death Kay began work for Del West, where she met Bill Kerwin. Bill and Kay married in Santa Barbara April 30 1992, remaining in California until her retirement. Bill and Kay retired to Sedona, AZ, where they have happily enjoyed their home and beautiful surroundings for 20 years.
