Lawrence Leroy Rupiper, 85, of Sedona, AZ passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017. Born May 20, 1932 in Omaha, Nebraska, son of the late Raymond Rupiper and Margaret (Mauch) Rupiper.
He is survived by his brother Robert Rupiper and wife of Chowchilla, CA, and his sister Doris Burwitz and husband of Arkansas; three children, daughter Kimberly Lavigne of Irvine, CA, son Lawrence Rupiper and wife of Huntington Beach, CA, daughter Stephanie Aanestad and husband of Temecula, CA; four grandchildren, Matthew Aanestad, Brittany Aanestad, Garrett Aanestad and John Lavigne.
He is preceded by his wife, Constance Rupiper of more than 60 years, his parents, brother, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Larry served in the United States Navy, was a Korean War veteran and a member of the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars). He was employed by Proctor and Gamble for many years until he retired to Sedona, AZ in 1990 with his beloved wife, Connie. He was a hard worker and enjoyed working with his hands. Larry was creative and artistic which was apparent by the many projects he created both at home and in the community. In his spare time, Larry enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading, home improvements, gardening, golfing, exploring the outdoors and traveling.
Memorial services and reception will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, December 4, 2017 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Sedona, AZ.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at St. John Vianney Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to VFW, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
