Marjorie W. Herkenham, 89, of West Sedona died the evening of April 25 of natural causes. Marge was an honorary member and former Trail Boss (President) of the Sedona Westerners, an organization dedicated to hiking and to the preservation of the natural beauty of the Sedona area. Her late husband, Norman Herkenham, who passed away in October, is remembered by many as the father of the Sedona Circle trail, which came into existence after years of work by Norm with the U.S. Forest Service. They had been married for 68 years at the time of his death.
Marge and Norm came to Sedona in 1974 after he retired from the National Park Service. Marge was born in Lodi, CA. She obtained a Bachelor
