OBITUARY FOR MARTHA ELAINE STELZER

Martha Elaine Stelzer, 75, of Sedona, Arizona, and formerly of Findlay, passed away at 3:25 p.m. on Monday, April 16, 2012 at the Flagstaff Medical Center. She was born in Sidney, Ohio on September 9, 1936 to Aaron and Crystal Ellerman. She married Donald A. Stelzer on December 14, 1957 in Sidney and he preceded her in death on September 17, 2007. She is survived by her daughter, Lori (David A.) Hanson of Findlay, and her son, John Stelzer of Sedona, Arizona.
Following graduation from Sidney High School, Mrs. Stelzer obtained a secretarial degree from Bowling Green State University. Upon graduation, she moved to Findlay and began working at the Marathon Oil Company where she met her future husband. Marty and Don enjoyed 49 years together.
Mrs. Stelzer loved her job as Clerk of Council for the City of Findlay, which she held from 1983 to 2009. Throughout her life, she appreciated the friendship of so many people who loved her for her warm, friendly personality and her engaging smile.
Marty and her daughter, Lori relished many shopping trips together over the years as well as trips to Chicago, Illinois, Las Vegas, Nevada and Sedona, Arizona where she fell in love with the beauty and climate of the southwest. Marty spent the last two happy years of her life with her son, John, sightseeing, shopping, and dining in and around Sedona.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
