Mary Cronin Hughes
Mary Hughes, 79, a long-time resident of Sedona, Arizona passed away peacefully on June 5th after a short illness.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Ray Hughes, and her brothers Michael Cronin (Priscilla), John Cronin (Joanne) and Basil Cronin (Anne), and her sisters Connie Manley, Elaine Cronin, Gail Glasheen (Tommy), and Helen Ferrante (James) along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
Marys sense of humor and laugh will always be remembered. Her love for art was never-ending and she continued to pursue art throughout her life. She was an accomplished watercolorist and sculptor, recently becoming a serious student of ceramics.

Mary earned her B.A. from Massachusetts College of Art and began her career as a high school art teacher in Cape Cod. She later taught art in the Culver City Schools in California. After she and Ray relocated to Sedona, Mary became a member of the Sedona Art Center and the Northern Arizona Watercolor Society. She was a volunteer at the Sedona Film Festival, the Chamber Music of Sedona, and the Sedona Arts Center.

All are invited to a celebration of Marys life on July 1st; from 2:00-4:00 pm at the Sedona Art Barn. Should friends desire, contributions may be made in Marys name to the Northern Arizona Watercolor Society Student Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 508, Sedona, Arizona 86339.
