Mary Lou Smith

Mary Lou Smith, a resident of Sedona for 24 years, died September 30, 2009 at the Flagstaff Medical Center. She was 77.

She was born in Detroit, Michigan on january 30, 1932. She grew up and attended an all girl Catholic school called Immaculata. Following high school, she worked as a secretary and went to school. During this time she met David Fraser Smith and they married April 18, 1953. They made their home in Mt. Clemens, Michigan where she was a homemaker. Following her husband's retirement in 1986, they moved to Sedona where they enjoyed being active at church, spending time with family, and going to the casino.

Ms. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, who died November 1, 1999.

She is survived by her daughters, Suzanne Marie Turner of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Marie Gustin of Sedona, and Tina Louise Fricano of Roseville, Michigan; her son David J. Smith of Aurora, Colorado; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
