Milton Louis Sherwood died February 15, 2010, in Flagstaff.
Born in Chicago, he was raised in Detroit. Following high school he joined the Navy and served in World War II. Following the war he attended photography school.
On February 18, 1950 he married Dorothy Pavlet in Las Vegas. He and Dorothy made their home in Encino, California, where he sold jewelry. They moved to Van Nuys, California in 1956 and he continued in his jewelry business, becoming vice-president of the company. He later opened Sherwood Jewelers in Cottonwood. He retired in 2006.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy of Sedona; son Mark Sherwood (and his wife Mary) of Cottonwood; daughter Nanette Girvin of Sedona; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his son Ronald Sherwood in 2006.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 19, 2010, 3:00 PM, at Greer's Mortuary of Sedona.
