Mimi J Esser

January 11, 1940 — June 25, 2016

Mimi J. Esser, 76, of Sedona, passed away on June 25, 2016. Mimi graduated from ASU receiving a BA in English. She was married to the late Fred Esser and worked as a paralegal in her husband's law firm until retirement. Mimi married Robert Crabb in 2010 and set off to travel the globe.

Mimi was a renaissance woman, who taught English, worked as a transcriptionist, an interior designer and a law office manager. She was a Director and Emeritus of Sedona Jazz on the Rocks, a member of the Sedona Soroptimist Club, Sedona Bridge Club, Thursday "Birthday Girls Club" and Sedona Book Club. She was a Life Master bridge player and received the 2016 District 17 Goodwill Award representing Northern Arizona Bridge.

Mimi loved family, friends, jazz music, fine food, good wine, reading, cooking, dancing, travelling and refried beans. She loved LIFE! She was kind, gracious and intelligent. She was truly beautiful inside and out. "Cheers Mimi" you are the jazz in our souls, the beat in our hearts and a constant rhythm in our lives.

She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Crabb; four children, Deborah Esser, of Sedona; Nancy Weisel, of Jerome; Terrence Esser, of Tucson; and Dee Esser, of Mazatlan. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on August 5th at St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Sedona. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Sedona Elks Club.
