Rick Anderson passed away suddenly on March 4, 2015. He had been a long time resident of Sedona and owned a landscape company for many years. He was an avid golfer, a devoted Cubs fan, and sports enthusiast. He loved the outdoors, his circle of friends, country music, and all of his faithful dogs. He was always seen with his cowboy hat and a smile for all.
He grew up in Phoenix and graduated from Arcadia High School. He attended Northern Arizona University. He worked for the Forest Service as a hotshot firefighter. He married Karen Tierney in 1977 and they moved to Hawaii for several years and then returned to build a home in Pine Valley.
He is predeceased by his father, Gilbert Anderson; his mother and step-father, Luella and "Huck" Martin. He is survived by a sister, Lynn Selquist (Curt); a step-brother, Tar St. Martin (Kelly); nephews, Tom (Holly) and Tim (Sara) Selquist and Chase Martin; nieces, Amy Lynn Mockbee (Geoff), Kimberly Legin (Patrick) and Remy LeGuin; as well as several grand-nephews and nieces.
