Steve Sivak passed away peacefully on February 10, 2016. He was born in Morgantown, West Virginia, on February 21, 1922, and was raised and completed his schooling in Pennsylvania. Steve served in the United States Army in World War II under General George Patton and participated in the Normandy D-Day Invasion and The Battle of the Bulge. After the war, he relocated to Southern California where he was employed as an engineer with the Ford Motor Company for over thirty years. He and his wife, Sara, retired in San Diego, CA, where they were active in various dance clubs and he served as Vice President.
Steve was a loving husband and father, devoted to his family, and will be deeply missed. He is survived by two daughters, Sallyann Navarro (Carlos) of Sedona, AZ and Kathy Noland (Mike) of Penn Valley, CA, grandchildren Sarah Vaughn (Kris), Amy Chapman, Travis Noland (Nicolette), Kyle Noland, Nicole Mwangi (Ken), and Angela Noland, and great-granddaughter Hailey Ann Vaughn.
A Celebration of Life was held at the Sedona Winds on February 13. A graveside service will take place in San Diego, CA, on February 19, 2016. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimers Association in memory of his wife, Sara.
