Thomas Andrew Sawyer

Thomas A. Tom Sawyer a resident of Sedona AZ for 43 years, devoted husband of Virginia Sawyer for 44 years, died peacefully at home surrounded by love Sunday, March 19, 2017. Born in Hardin MT, May 6, 1930, he was the son of Walter Sawyer and Florence Kopriva Sawyer of Hardin. Beloved father of Jill Sawyer West, Thomas K. Sawyer, Heidi Sawyer, Lisa Walls and Erik Sekayouma; beloved father-in-law, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Although Toms accomplishments were many, and a cavalcade of experiences of a life well spent, Tom was not boastful and will be remembered as a very humble and gracious man who was always willing to help, sometimes to a fault of those in need. A devoted husband to his beloved wife Virginia, Tom put his needs secondary to the needs of his wife and family and stayed committed to his faith in God and church. His good heartedness was available to all who shared his company and his strength will be deeply missed.
Memorial services will be held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 700 N. Bill Gray Gray Rd, Cottonwood, AZ on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 11:00 oclock, with interment services following.
