Valerie Jean Singsaas

October 1, 1957 — February 19, 2015

57. Born to Morton and Eloise Clark on October 1, 1957 in Seattle; passed away after a short illness at her winter home in Sedona, Arizona on February 19, 2015 surrounded by her loving family.

A 1975 Kentridge High School graduate, Val excelled as a travel professional and later in the tech industry. She relocated from Seattle a number of times for her work including Hawaii, California, and Dublin, Ireland along with her children and Jeff, her husband of 34 years.
Vals passing has left an immense absence in many lives. She was a loving wife and mother, healer of scrapped knees and hurt feelings, dryer of tears, steadfast cheerleader, ferocious defender of her family, best friend, beautiful little sister, second mother to many, patient listener, teacher, risk taker, lover of laughter, and perfect travel partner. Val was simply elegant in thought and manner and had an enthusiastic embrace of life. She held us all accountable for showing gratitude for our lives and good fortune -despite lifes challenges.

Valerie is survived by her husband Jeff, daughter Christine (23) of Auburn, son Kevin (16), grandson Elijah (two months), father Morton (Kent, WA), sister Chris (Ben) Schrenzel (Sequim, WA), brother Larry (Sharon) Clark (Renton, WA), many nieces, nephews, and good friends. She was predeceased by her mother Eloise and twin sons Daniel and Alexander.

Memorials in Vals name are suggested to (non-profit): Verde Valley School, 3511 Verde Valley School Road, Sedona, AZ 86351.

Services will be held at a later date.

Arrangements by Greers Mortuary, Sedona, AZ.
