Valerie Louise Muggeridge

Valerie N. Muggeridge died on July 5, 2009 in Sedona. She was 90.

Val married Bob in 1951 and spent the next twelve years following him from place to place until he retired from the U.S. Army in 1963. Her U.S. Civil Service employment record bore constant entries of "husband transferred" as her reason for leaving. Several years were spent in Germany, where son David was born.

Val and Bob came to Sedona in 1986 from Phoenix. Val was active in painting in both places and was a past president of the Arizona Watercolor Association. She was a volunteer for Meals On Wheels in Phoenix and Sedona and delivered to some of the most dangerous housing projects in Phoenix.

Val leaves her husband Bob of Sedona, their son David and his wife Carol, and four grandchildren Tessa, Chloe, Cael, Reece, of Phoenix.

There will be no services. Memorial donations may be made to the Sedona Animal Shelter.
