William F. Helmcke, 95, died March 12.

After moving to Sedona in 1974, he served on the Coconino County and Sedona planning and zoning commissions.

He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn. Survivors include daughters Carol and Barbara, five grandsons and seven great-grandchildren.

A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, March 25, at 2 p.m. at Sedona Winds Assisted Living, 475 Jacks Canyon Road. Donations in his memory may be made to Keep Sedona Beautiful or a favorite charity.
